Sunday, the Minister of State for Media Affairs, Ali Al-Ayed said that the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccines to Jordan does not mean that the pandemic has come to an end.
In statements to Amen FM Ayed said that citizens showed a great commitment to health measures such as wearing face masks and social distancing, stressing that the efforts made by the citizens strengthened the decline in the COVID-19 curve in the Kingdom.
He pointed out that Jordan is the 42nd country to obtain COVID-19 vaccines worldwide.
The assistant secretary-general of health care at the Ministry of Health Ghazi Sharkas announced Saturday that more than 30,000 people have received the coronavirus vaccine in Jordan since the beginning of the national vaccination campaign on Jan. 13.
He added that more than 300,000 people have registered for vaccination at the ministry's official online platform.
