Palestine confirms 14 deaths and 467 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 14 deaths and 467 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Saturday.

The new deaths involved eight in the West Bank and six in the Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 93.3 percent, while the active case rate is 5.6 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 22 in Tulkarm; nine in Salfit; 17 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 18 in Jenin; 31 in Nablus; 55 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 11 in Bethlehem; 13 in Hebron; one in Jericho and al-Aghwar; three in Qalqilya; one in Tubas; and 268 in Gaza Strip.

No information was available on COVID-19 cases in Jerusalem city.

The recovery cases included 38 in Tulkarm; 33 in Salfit; 50 in Jenin; zero in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 107 in Nablus; 26 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; 32 in Bethlehem; 41 in Hebron; five in Jericho and al-Aghwar; zero in Qalqilya; nine in Tubas; and 345 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 73 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 19 are on ventilators.

A total of 3,069 PCR tests were conducted.
