A total of 2,117,457 people have died from coronavirus worldwide, according to Worldometers Saturday. The number of COVID-19 cases around the world totals 98,789,849 with 70,998,894 recoveries.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in late last year, North America has topped the list of continents worst affected by coronavirus, as it recorded 29,017,605 cases, 612,909 deaths and 18,042,303 recoveries.
