Director of Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Nizar Mhaidat Thursday said inspection teams seized approximately 27 tons of adulterated powdered milk and cheese, that were labeled with fraudulent nutritional information, in a number of factories across the Kingdom. 

Mhaidat said these products were found during the JFDA's routine inspections on factories' raw materials. These establishments have violated the JFDA's official standards and failed to prove that their products are suitable for human consumption. 

The JFDA shut down all involved factories, destroyed all adulterated dairy products and transferred all violators to the Public Prosecutor.
