Jordan records 17 deaths and 978 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 17 deaths and 978 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 317,405.

The death toll has risen to 4,187.

The cases are:

-497 in Amman

-210 in Irbid, including 15 in Ramtha

-80 in Balqa

-40 in Zarqa

-19 in Karak

-13 in Jerash

-seven in Aqaba

-53 in Mafraq

-26 in Ajloun

-18 in Madaba

-nine in Ma'an

-six in Aqaba

A total of 40 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 30 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 10,110 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,215 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 303,108.

There are 433 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 23,315 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 3,639,550.

Wednesday, 4.19 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
