The member of the Palestine Parliamentary Committee in the Jordanian Parliament Mohammad Al-Dahrawi Wednesday said that the committee is closely following the issue of Jordanian prisoners infected with COVID-19 in Israeli Occupation.

He explained that there are 21 prisoners in the Israeli Occupation prisons, three of which are infected with the coronavirus, while the Israeli Occupation authorities refrain from treating them.

The National Committee for Jordanian Prisoners and Missing Persons in Israeli Prisons reported that only two Jordanians held in Israeli Occupation prisons have been infected with coronavirus earlier this week.

The two prisoners were identified as Abdullah Barghouti, 49, and Thaer al-Lozi. The identity of the third prisoner is not yet known.

At the start of the monitoring session, Al-Dahrawi demanded the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi, to contact the Israeli Occupation’s Minister of Foreign Affairs to provide the committee with a report on the conditions of the prisoners.
