A dentist, later identified as Ghinwa Al-Bustanji died while undergoing a liposuction operation in a private clinic in Amman.

The incident occurred last week, but for the past few days, people on social media have been expressing their anger after her death. The case is currently pending at the Jordan Medical Association (JMA), awaiting the court's decision.

Previously, the JMA received complaints regarding the doctor who performed the liposuction for promoting discounted liposuction procedures on social media platforms, which is illegal in Jordan.

He was referred to the disciplinary council and signed a pledge vowing not to do it again.

The initial investigations revealed that the doctor is a general surgeon and not a bariatric or liposuction specialist.

The doctor has since turned himself in after the deceased's family submitted an official complaint against him.
