Tuesday, the Attorney General of Ramtha arrested the owner of a cafe for one week for holding a gathering of about 30 people, which is a violation of the provisions of the defense laws which are in place to tackle the pandemic.

In press statements, the public prosecutor said that the person who was arrested held a party marking the opening of the cafe, in which dozens of people attended. The prosecutor noted that defense orders prohibit gatherings of more than 20 people, provided that the rules of public safety, social distancing and infection control are adhered to.
