The Ministry of Health Monday authorized private laboratories to conduct antibody tests for those who have previously tested positive for coronavirus.

A source from the ministry told Roya that the antibody test is not required before vaccination. He also said the antibody test is not important and cannot be used to identify positive cases, or decide wether or not someone should receive the vaccine.

The ministry had previously approved antibody testing but withdrew the approval soon after without providing an official explanaition.
