Jordan records  eight deaths and 1,030 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded eight deaths and 1,030 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 315,544.

The death toll has risen to 4,153.

The cases are: 

-434 in Amman

-238 in Irbid, including 20 in Ramtha

-89 in Zarqa

-47 in Mafraq

-31 in Ajloun

-17 in Tafilah

-nine in Madaba

-77 in Balqa

-44 in Jerash

-25 in Karak

-11 in Aqaba

-eight in Ma'an, including one in Petra

A total of 56 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 57 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 11,051 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,472 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 300,340.

There are 445 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 22,271 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 3,594,305.

Monday, 4.62 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
