COVID-19 vaccinations begin in elderly care homes

Monday, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Development personnel began administering the coronavirus vaccine to the elderly at the White Beds Society (WBSJO) in Amman, as part of the national vaccination program.

The Minister of Health Nathir Obeidat confirmed that this category of elderly people reserve priority for the vaccine, adding that they should be among the first citizens to receive it.

The Minister of Social Development Ayman Al-Mufleh confirmed that the number of people who will receive the vaccine Monday in this home is about 115 people, and there will be a program for the rest of the care homes, which include about 350 people.

Jan. 13, Jordan began its national vaccination program using the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm vaccines.
