Jordan records eight deaths and 957 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded eight deaths and 957 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 314,514.

The death toll has risen to 4,145.

The cases are:

- 456 in Amman

-134 in Irbid, including two in Ramtha

-112 in Balqa

-58 in Mafraq

-27 in Madaba

-17 in Karak

-14 in Aqaba

-61 in Jerash

-32 in Zarqa

-19 in Tafilah

-16 in Ajloun

-11 in Ma'an, including four in Petra

A total of 60 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 65 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 11,501 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,623 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 298,868.

There are 454 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 19,623 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 3,572,034.

Sunday, 4.88 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
