The Director of Al-Bashir Hospitals and member of the National Committee for Epidemics Mahmoud Zureikat Sunday said a large quantity of rapid PCR tests will be available at the Al-Bashir Emergency Hospital Monday morning.

Zureikat pointed out that this test aims to distinguish between coronavirus and the seasonal influenza quickly, and that it is not a diagnostic COVID-19 test. This test also involves taking a swab through the nose after which a negative or positive test result appears within minutes. This helps healthcare workers determine which patients need to be tested for COVID-19 through a PCR test.
