Saturday, during Roya’s news bulletin, a member of the Epidemics Committee and a member of the National Vaccination Advisory Committee, Munir Abu Hilaleh said that a group of Jordanian doctors are currently seeking to produce a Jordanian vaccine against the coronavirus.

He added that Jordanian efforts are currently in the process of laboratory studies to produce the vaccine, noting that Jordan was late to look into the matters of vaccine production.

Abu Hilaleh called on Jordanian pharmaceutical companies to adopt these ideas and involve themselves in research efforts for a vaccine, pointing out that there is a highly competent talent pool in the Jordanian field.

Jordan is capable of producing a vaccine, said Abu Hilaleh.

According to the World Bank, Jordan is considered the best healthcare service provider and among one of the leaders in the Middle-Eastern medical field.
