Saturday, gold prices in the local market have declined by 20 piasters per gram of various gold carats, compared to Thursday's pricing.

According to the daily pricing issued by the Jordanian Jewellers Syndicate (JJS), the price of 21 carat gold decreased to JD 37.2, while the purchasing price was JD 35.7.

As for 24 carat gold, the price per gram reached JD 44.3, while the purchasing price was JD 41.3.

18 carat gold was JD 33.1 per gram, with the purchasing price of JD 30.2.

According to the syndicate, the demand for gold in the local market is still weak. This is likely due to the continued closures of wedding halls as a result of the pandemic.
