Jordan records 21 deaths and 1,092 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 21 deaths and 1,092 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 305,163.

The death toll has risen to 3,989.

The cases are:

-405 in Amman

-346 in Irbid, including 22 in Ramtha

-83 in Zarqa

-59 in Balqa

-47 in Mafraq

-44 in Jerash

-33 in Tafilah

-27 in Aqaba

-16 in Ajloun

-14 in Ma'an

-Nine in Madaba

-Nine in Karak

A total of 63 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 104 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 15,781 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,050 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 285,393.

There are 558 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 24,350 PCR tests were conducted Thursday, bringing the total to 3,370,292.

Friday, 4.48 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
