Jordan records 13 deaths and 1,215 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 13 deaths and 1,215 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 304,071.

The death toll has risen to 3,968.

The cases are:

  • 442 in Amman
  • 317 in Irbid, including 59 in Ramtha
  • 139 in Zarqa
  • 43 in Ajloun
  • 40 in Mafraq
  • 29 in Madaba
  • 18 in Tafilah
  • 74 in Balqa
  • 42 in Karak 
  • 37 in Jerash
  • 27 in Aqaba
  • Seven in Ma'an, includin two in Petra
A total of 83 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 77 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 15,760 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,616 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 284,343.

There are 620 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

Thursday, 4.14 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.

A total of 29,327 PCR tests were conducted Thursday, bringing the total to 3,345,942.
