Wednesday, the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced that a total of 140,000 people in Jordan have registered to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

A vaccine campaign recently launched by the MoH in cooperation with partners, who are members of the National Coordinating Committee, aims to spread health awareness about the importance of the vaccine, respond to rumors regarding the vaccine, clarify registration procedures, and publish correct information about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.

Members of the National Committee include local partners working in the health sector, represented by the Ministerial Media Unit, the Royal Health Awareness Society, and international and regional partners, mainly UNICEF, the World Health Organization (WHO), the United States Agency for International Development and the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network.
