Sudan Wednesday signed the "the Abraham Accords" with the United States, under which Khartoum agreed to normalize its relations with the Israeli Occupation, according to the US embassy in Khartoum.

"We congratulate the transitional government for signing today the Declaration of the Abraham Agreements, which will help Sudan more in the path of transition towards stability, security and economic opportunities," the embassy wrote in a tweet.

She added, "The agreement allows Sudan, Israel and other signatories to the Abraham Accords to build mutual trust and increase cooperation in the region."
