Jordan records 15 deaths and 1,553 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 15 deaths and 1,553 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 302,856.

The death toll has risen to 3,955.

The cases are:

-653 in Amman

-384 in Irbid, including 30 in Ramtha

-104 in Mafraq

-66 in Zarqa

-55 in Jerash

-33 in Aqaba

-18 in Tafilah

-94 in Balqa

-55 in Ajloun

-42 in Karak

-32 in Madaba

-17 in Ma'an, including one in Petra

A total of 75 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 78 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 16,174 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,707 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 282,727.

A total of 29,594 PCR tests have been conducted Wednesday.

There are 627 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

Wednesday, 5.25 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
