The Minister of Health Nathir Obeidat Sunday said students will not return to schools unless it is safe. He added that the government is currently looking into students' return to schools and universities next semester.

Every measure taken by the government contributes to the improvement of the COVID-19 situation in Jordan, including the Friday lockdown and sector closures, he said.

Obeidat told Roya's Nabd Albalad that the decreasing numbers prove that these measures are effective. He added that the government will reassess the health situation in Jordan every two weeks, and if there are any improvements, mitigation measures will be taken.
