Supplementary examinations begin for Tawjihi Students

Thursday, high school diploma ‘Tawjihi’ students, who wish to complete diploma requirements or raise their grades, began to take the supplementary examinations for 2020.

The examination period will end Jan. 16, 2021.

There will be two examination sessions per day, one at 10 AM and one at one PM.

The Ministry of Education affirmed that the nature of the supplementary examination will not be any different from the general examinations. The exam sessions will be held in 1,145 halls in 464 schools in all education directorates.

The number of participants who applied to participate in the supplementary examinations reached 95,451 students, and they are among those who previously took the general examination for 2020 and did not complete the requirements to receive diplomas. Among the students, 56,909 were from public schools while 38,542 were from private schools.

Additionally, the ministry decided to increase examination times for Mathematics, Physics, English, Arabic Language, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Arabic Language as a specialty).

The Ministry of Education had published on its website, the health protocol for the supplementary examination in light of the pandemic. They stated that they remain committed to applying the best protocols to confront the pandemic by placing procedures which protect the wellbeing of students and personnel in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
