The UAE Tuesday recorded a number of cases of the new coronavirus strain. The official spokesperson for the Emarati government Omar al-Hammadi said the cases involve people who came from outside the country.

Hammadi said 9,949 recovery cases have been recorded in the UAE over the past seven days, as well as 20 deaths. The death rate stood at 0.3 percent, which is one of the lowest in the world, he added.

UAE recorded a total of 662 deaths and 204,369 COVID -19 cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis.
