Sunday, the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) announced that it has started the implementation of the first training program within a series of training programs aimed at all food inspectors throughout the Kingdom.

In a press release, JFDA stated that these programs are for the purpose of qualifying food inspectors and building their capabilities with regard to official inspection tools.

The programs focuses on several aspects, the most important of which are:

• Inspection mechanisms
• JFDA food establishment classifications according to the degree of risk
• The application of technical rules and other aspects related to food safety

The aforementioned contribute to enhancing the quality and safety of food by raising the efficiency of control and inspection standardization, and harmonization of their procedures.
