Wednesday, the Crown Prince His Royal Highness Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, inaugurated a Ministry of Health (MoH) field hospital in Ma'an.

This hospital is the second field hospital belonging to the Ministry of Health, which is located in Ma'an Governmental Hospital.

The Health Affairs Director for Ma'an Amjad Abu Darwish said that the field hospital will only receive confirmed COVID-19 patients.

Abu Darwish added the hospital is equipped with 250 beds, 50 of which are intensive care beds. Additionally, a number of qualified medical personnel including nursing, technical and administrative staff, have been appointed to work at the hospital.

This field hospital is the fourth to be opened in the Kingdom to treat people with COVID-19, as His Majesty in the past weeks opened three military field hospitals in Amman, Zarqa and Irbid.
