Jordan records 36 deaths and 2,499 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 36 deaths and 2,499 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 277,448.

The death toll has risen to 3,604.

The cases are:

-940 in Amman

-213 in Zarqa

-138 in Balqa

-92 in Karak

-48 in Madaba

-41 in Tafilah

-615 in Irbid, including 23 in Ramtha

-157 in Jerash

-112 in Mafraq

-80 in Ajloun

-46 in Aqaba

-17 in Ma'an, including seven in Petra

A total of 145 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 151 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 27,676 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 3,062 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 246,168.

There are 1,054 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 20,215 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,983,088.

Monday, 12.36 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
