Monday, the price of selling and buying gold in Jordan increased by JD 0.40, according to the Jordanian Jewellers Syndicate (JJS).

The selling price for 21-carat gold reached JD 38.50 per gram, while the purchase price reached JD 37.

The price of gold per gram for 24-carat and 18-carat increased to JD 45.40 and JD 34.40, respectively.

The price of the Rashadi lira weighing seven grams is JD 268, while the price of the English lira weighing eight grams is JD 305.

The price of gold on the world market Monday was USD 1900 per ounce.

There are approximately 850 jewellers across Jordan worth at least JD 5 billion.
