Saturday, during Roya’s news bulletin, Professor of Oncology at Georgetown University Samir Khleif confirmed that the new technique of vaccine manufacturing that uses nucleic acid or messenger RNA, which was utilized to make the the Pfizer vaccine, does not change human DNA.

Khleif said that the existence of vaccines signals the beginning of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, returning to the normality of a pre-pandemic life will take some time.

Additionally, he considered the Pfizer vaccine to be one of the most generally effective vaccines for humans with a 95 percent effectiveness rate.

He pointed out that any vaccine may have side effects upon administration, such as the influenza vaccine. Khleif stressed that there is no valid reasoning to prevent individuals from refusing the vaccine as there are no serious complications from it.
