Belgium’s Budget State Secretary Eva De Bleeker Thursday accidentally revealed the EU vaccine prices by tweeting a table with the price of each vaccine purchased by the EU and how much Belgium will spend in total on the vaccines, according to Belgian news site HLN.

The tweet was deleted immediately, however, screenshots were already taken.

De Bleeker said that what happened was “a mistake on the part of the communications team,” according to HLN.

Previously, the European Commission said it cannot reveal the prices paid for each COVID-19 vaccine, due to commercial confidentiality agreements. The EU Commission has already agreed with six different suppliers of potential vaccines.

According to the screenshot published by HLN, the price per dose listed for each of the six vaccines was as follows:

  • Oxford/AstraZeneca: EUR 1.78
  • Johnson & Johnson: USD 8.50
  • Sanofi/GSK: EUR 7.56
  • BioNTech/Pfizer: EUR 12
  • CureVac: EUR 10
  • Moderna: USD 18
