Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the terrorist attack that took place in the Ghazni province of Afghanistan, killing and wounding innocent children. The ministry’s spokesperson, Dhaifallah Fayez expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Afghan government and people.

At least 15 children were killed and 20 others were wounded in a bomb rigged to a rickshaw in Taliban-controlled area in eastern Afghanistan, a provincial official announced Friday.

The bomb exploded after a man driving a motorised rickshaw entered a village in the Gilan district to sell goods and was soon surrounded by children, according to a spokesperson for the Ghazni provincial governor.

Investigations are currently underway to determine why children were targeted.
