Eight COVID-19 patients killed in hospital fire in Turkey

Saturday, eight people were killed in a fire at an intensive care unit designated for treating COVID-19 patients in Gaziantep, Turkey.

According to the Turkish News Agency (Anadolu) the fire broke out when an oxygen cylinder exploded at the Sanko University Hospital. The agency added that seven patients died immediately on the scene and one died during transportation to another hospital.

The victims aged between 65 and 85.
