Friday, the Jordanian Medical Association (JMA) mourned the death of two doctors whose lives was lost due to the coronavirus.

The JMA said in a post on Facebook: "We mourn with more sorrow (...) Our colleague Dr. Awad Saleem Mahmoud Shehadeh who joined the convoy of martyrs of work and duty.”

In another post they also announced the death of Muhammad Salem Saleh Nahar Al-Shayab.

The JMA showed support to the deceased’s relatives, while expressing their condolences and sympathy.

The death toll of Jordanian doctors due to COVID-19 has risen to 24.

Jordan has a total of 269,806 confirmed coronavirus cases and 3,496 deaths.
