Tuesday, the Eastern Military Region, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department, thwarted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of drugs from Syrian territories to Jordanian territories.

A military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) stated that after carrying out the necessary actions and inspections, 14 slabs of hashish were seized and transferred to the competent authorities. 

The source affirmed that JAF deals with such cases in a decisive manner that aims to protect the borders and prevent any threat to the Jordanian national security.
