Jordan records 49 deaths and 1,816 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 49 deaths and 1,816 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 257,275.

The death toll has risen to 3,335.

The cases are: 

- 465 in Amman

- 599 in Irbid, including six in Ramtha

- 222 in Mafraq

- 101 in Ajloun

- 64 in Karak

- 46 in Tafilah

- Five in Madaba

- 122 in Jerash

- 99 in Balqa

- 47 in Zarqa

- 45 in Aqaba

- One in Ma'an

A total of 112 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 83 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 40,596 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 3,598 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 213,344.

There are 1,178 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 13,268 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,810,294.

Saturday, 13.69 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
