Jordan records 44 deaths and 2,902 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 44 deaths and 2,902 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 253,121.

The death toll has risen to 3,250.

The cases are: 

- 967 in Amman

- 875 in Irbid, including 32 in Ramtha

- 204 in Zarqa

- 202 in Mafraq

- 182 in Balqa

- 180 in Jerash

- 96 in Aqaba

- 89 in Karak

- 40 in Tafilah

- 38 in Ajloun

- 21 in Ma'an, inlcuding eight in Petra

- Seven in Madaba

A total of 159 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 158 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 43,233 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 4,580 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 206,638.

There are 1,319 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 22,502 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,777,801.

Thursday, 12.9 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
