Jordan confirms 44 deaths and 3,088 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 44 deaths and 3,088 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 250,219.

The death toll has risen to 3,206.

The cases are:

  • 1,071 in Irbid, 233 of which in Ramtha
  • 898 in Amman 
  • 216 in Balqa 
  • 172 in Ajloun
  • 135 in Mafraq
  • 132 in Karak
  • 126 in Zarqa 
  • 94 in Jerash 
  • 90 in Madaba
  • 64 in Tafilah
  • 53 in Aqaba
  • 37 in Ma'an, nine of which in Petra

A total of 163 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 160 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 44,955 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 5,000 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 202,058.

There are 1,378 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 23,420 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,755,299.

Wednesday, 13.19 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
