The Ministry of Health has secured 16 freezers to store coronavirus vaccines at -80 degrees celcius, said the Minister Nathir Obeidat Wednesday.

He told Addustour newspaper that work is underway to acquire enough freezers for all vaccination centers. He explained that there will be vaccination centers in the capital Amman and other governorates to provide vaccines to those who need it. Priority will go to health workers, elderly citizens and those who suffer from chronic diseases, he added.

Obaidat said the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship will have a major role in collecting data related to vaccination. 

Regarding obtaining a vaccine, he explained that agreements cannot be finalized without an official license being obtained but we seek prelimenary agreements to get priority.
