Saturday, hundreds of Palestinians participated in the funeral of Ali Ayman Abu Alia, 13, who was killed Friday by the IOF in the village of Mughayir, north of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank.

The participants in the funeral, many of whom carried pictures of the boy, Ayman Abu Alia, chanted slogans against the Israeli occupation.

Banners of the Fatah and Hamas movements were raised upon the arrival of the boy's funeral to the village of Mughayer, amid chants of, "With our souls and blood we sacrifice for you, martyr."

Palestinian security sources told AFP that the boy, Ali, was shot by the IOF during a demonstration in the village of Mughayer, whose residents were protesting the confiscation of their land by settlers.

The IOF said that "rioters" tried to block a border road, "and the security forces prevented them from blocking the road and responded with riot control means."

The Palestinian presidency condemned the killing of the boy and called on the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian people and end the occupation.

The killing of the boy came days after the Palestinian Authority announced the restoration of relations with the Israeli occupation, including security coordination, which it suspended last May.
