Wednesday, the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas issued a decision extending the state of emergency amid the coronavirus crisis which is surging through Palestine.

The extension of 30 days will begin Thursday.

Wednesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced 16 deaths and 2,188 new COVID-19 cases. The Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila, said the COVID-19 recovery rate is currently at 76.6 percent, the active case rate is 22.5 percent, and the death rate is 0.9 percent.
