Ministry of Health announces new prices for private hospital COVID-19 treatment

Wednesday, the Ministry of Health announced the new pricing for COVID-19 treatment in private hospitals per night.

The cost for one private isolation room (first-class) is JD 210 per patient.

The cost for a two-bed isolation room (two beds) is JD 125 per patient.

The cost for a three-bed isolation room is JD 100 per patient.

The cost for an underage patient or child with a companion is JD 200. 

The cost for an unaccompanied underage patient or child is JD 150 per patient.

The cost for a moderate care room is JD 300 per patient.

The cost for an ICU patient is according to the pricing approved by the Ministry of Health for private hospitals with a 20 percent discount regardless of the insurance policy the patient carries, including all procedures and medical supplies.

The price for the ICU varies between hospitals, which have all been approved by the ministry.

The ministry explained that all prices include accomodation, hotel services, personal check-ups, x-rays, immunity-boosting drugs, treatment for virus symptoms, medical supervision by respiratory consultants, the wages of the supervising physician and nursing staff, psychological counseling, transport and medical supplies.
