Jordan records 51 deaths and 4,187 new COVID-19 cases

Jordan has recorded 51 deaths and 4,187 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 223,617.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 2,802.

The cases are: 

- 1,292 in Amman

- 406 in Zarqa

- 284 in Jerash

- 193 in Ajlun

- 128 in Ma'an, including 47 in Petra

- 66 in Madaba

- 843 in Irbid, including 129 in Ramtha

- 375 in Balqa

- 253 in Mafraq

- 175 in Karak

- 107 in Aqaba

- 65 in Tafilah

A total of 209 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 189 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 57,856 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 7,933 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 162,959.

There are 1,809 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 426 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 26,050 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,577,281.

Tuesday, 16.1 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
