A Egyptian man, identified only as Ahmed J., Tuesday killed two people and injured four others using a knife in the streets of Al-Seifa village, Qalyubia, according to Youm7.

The Director of Qalyubia Security, Major General Fakhr El-Din Al-Arabi, said the individuals tried to contain him, but the man was in a severe state of agitation and relentlessly attacked them.

All of the injured and deceased were taken to Benha University Hospital. One of the deceased, a 60-year-old man, died upon arrival at the hospital, while the second man, a 22-year-old, was killed instantly in the attack.

Security services arrested the man who they described as ‘mentally ill.'

Prosecution has taken over the investigation.
