Jordan records 57 deaths and 5,123 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 57 deaths and 5,123 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 219,430.

The death toll since the beginning of the crisis has risen to 2,751.

The cases are:

  • 1,241 in Amman
  • 1,804 in Irbid, including 338 in Ramtha
  • 626 in Mafraq
  • 245 in Jerash
  • 178 in Aqaba
  • 122 in Ajloun
  • 58 in Balqa
  • 353 in Karak
  • 241 in Zarqa
  • 128 in Tafilah
  • 82 in Ma'an, including 24 in Petra
  • 45 in Madaba

A total of 228 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 191 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 61,653 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 6,454 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 155,026.

There are 1,941 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 462 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 25,239 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,551,231.

Monday, 20.3 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
