Palestine recorded 15 deaths and 2,062 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaileh Monday.

The new deaths involved 10 in the West Bank (including three in Nablus; one in Jenin; two in Hebron; one in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; three in Tulkarem) and five in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 78.2 percent, while the active case rate is 21 percent and the death rate is 0.8 percent.

The new coronavirus cases include 236 in Hebron; 318 in Nablus; 134 in Bethlehem; 52 in Qalqilya; 176 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 149 in Jenin; 13 in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 38 in Salfit; 109 in Tulkarem; 48 in Tubas; 748 in Gaza Strip and 41in the suburbs of Occupied Jerusalem.

The recovery cases include 24 in Hebron; 59 in Jenin; 240 in Nablus; 49 in Tulkarem; 111 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 40 in Tubas; 24 in Salfit; seven in Jericho and al-Aghwar; 19 in Qalqilya; 130 in Bethlehem and 450 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 66 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 12 are on ventilators.

Monday, a total of 8,661 PCR tests were conducted.
