The American company Moderna announced that it will submit emergency licensing applications for its COVID-19 vaccine in the United States and Europe Monday, after the full results of clinical trials confirmed a 94.1 effectiveness rate.

According to the New York Times, if the application is approved, Americans could have the vaccine administered as early as Dec. 21.
