The Minister of State for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the government, Ali Al-Ayed, tweeted Sunday "I received questions about reducing the partial lockdown and reopening activities which were suspended due to the repercussions of the coronavirus."

In response, he said “In light of the current [health] situation [in Jordan], I will assure [everyone] that the current measures will continue and [the government] has not made any new decisions in this regard. Continued commitment to wearing masks and preventative measures will help reduce the strict measures [currently at hand].
