COVID-19 curve begins to decline in Jordan: MoH

The COVID-19 curve in Jordan started to decline, the Assistant Secretary General of the Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care Affairs, Ghazi Sharkas told Jordan News Agency (Petra) Saturday.

Sharkas added that the number of weekly infections with coronavirus Friday decreased to 33,266, with a difference of 4,516 cases compared to the previous week, noting that the weekly number of cases is decreasing.

Additionally, he said the weekly number of COVID-19 deaths decreased compared to the past two weeks. The weekly percentage of PCR tests that have come back positive decreased to 17.5 percent.

Sharkas called on citizens to comply with the required health and safety measures, which include wearing face masks, and social distancing.
