Jordan records 56 deaths and 3,108 new coronavirus cases

Jordan has recorded 56 deaths and 3,108 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 210,709.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 2,626.

The cases are: 

- 1,089 in Amman

- 755 in Irbid, including 166 in Ramtha

- 349 in Karak

- 271 in Ajloun

- 160 in Balqa

- 108 in Mafraq

- 104 in Madaba

- 86 in Zarqa

- 61 in Aqaba

- 61 in Jerash

- 46 in Tafilah

- 18 in Ma'an, including nine in Petra

A total of 173 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 95 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 65,373 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 2,373 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 142,710.

There are 1,985 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, including 464 in the Intensive Care Units.

A total of 17,755 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,505,316.

Saturday, 17.5 percent of PCR tests have come back positive.
