Palestine confirms 15 deaths and 1,461 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded 15 deaths and 1,461 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaileh Saturday.

The new deaths involved 11 in the West Bank and four in Gaza Strip. The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 79.2 percent, while the active case rate is 19.9 percent and the death rate is 0.9 percent.

The new coronavirus cases include 72 in Hebron; 135 in Nablus; 70 in Bethlehem; 23 in Qalqilya; 72 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; 97 in Jenin; four in Jericho and Al-Aghwar; 39 in Salfit; 61 in Tulkarem; 44 in Tubas; 827 in Gaza Strip; and 17in the suburbs of Occupied Jerusalem.

The recovery cases include 108 in Hebron; 68 in Jenin; 58 in Nablus; 21 in Tulkarem; 107 in Ramallah and Al-Bireh; one in Tubas; 313 in Bethlehem; 28 in Salfit; and 280 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 63 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 10 are on ventilators.
