The Director of the Awqaf Irbid Second Directorate, Abd Al-Salam Naseer, announced the suspension of Friday prayers in all mosques in the town of Al-Sareeh in the Irbid Governorate Friday.

This decision was taken following an altercation between several people where firearms were used, which resulted in five injuries, with some in critical condition.

Security services have since been deployed in the area to maintain safety standards.

Naseer asked all the preachers in the mosques to abide by the decision under penalty of legal and administrative accountability.
